Questions regarding Aarhus Case Competition (The 9 teams)

Do I need to pay something to participate in Aarhus Case Competition?
No, there is no fee for participating in Aarhus Case Competition. Also, all the expenses for the participating teams will be covered (including flight tickets to/from Aarhus, hotel and food).

 

Is the competition conducted in English?
Yes, all partner presentations, cases, information, etc. are conducted in English. All solutions and team presentations must also be conducted in English.

 

Do the team members need to be from the same university?
No, they do not. They just need to be Bachelor or Master students from Nordic universities.

 

How many team members are required per team?
Each team must consist of no more or less than 3 students.

 

Should applicants select members for the team themselves and send a team application?
Yes, the applicants must sign up as a team. They have to select the 3 members for their team themselves and to send a team application.

 

What information is the team required to include in the application?
The application must contain:

– Grade transcript for each team member

– CV (highlighting relevant experiences) for each team member

– A joint motivation letter telling us why your team should be chosen

 

Do the participants have an opportunity to prepare themselves in advance?
Before the main case is handed out to the participants on Wednesday in Week 13, the teams will practice their case solving skills during the 2 trial cases presented on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

 

Questions regarding Aspire Case Camp

How does Aspire Case Camp differ from Aarhus Case Competition, the main competition?
ACC is for top business students in the Nordic countries, and participants are chosen based on their CV, grades, and the team’s motivation letter. Aspire Case Camp is for all students at Aarhus BSS who want to learn more about competitive case solving as a concept, and participation requires nothing else than signing up.

Whereas Aarhus Case Competition is for students enrolled at any Nordic university, only students from Aarhus University can participate in Aspire Case Camp.

The main competition of Aarhus Case Competition requires participation in the whole week, Aspire Case Camp allows the students to sign up for one day, two days, or the whole week.

How many members can a team consist of?
An Aspire-team can consist of 3-4 students from Aarhus BSS.

 

What do I need to bring when participating in Aspire Case Camp?
You need to bring at least one computer in order to submit your solution as it must be handed in as a PowerPoint presentation saved as a pdf file in a 16:9 format.

You can bring as many notes and books as you may like.

When participating in Aspire Case Camp, we provide lunch, snacks, and beverages.
